with Dr. Heidi Roop – Assistant Professor of Climate Science; University of Minnesota

Climate change is not only a scientific challenge, but a societal one.  In this talk, Dr. Roop will examine the impact of climate change on Minnesota and how we can effectively catalyze the action needed to confront it.

Heidi combines climate science and science communication to connect climate change information to decision-makers and communities across the Midwest, U.S., and abroad. By producing actionable, relevant climate science, Heidi helps diverse stakeholders prepare for a changing climate. Heidi aspires to be a scientist who changes how the world engages in science, with scientists.
