The Beth El community prides itself on being a welcoming synagogue. We welcome interfaith couples and families, just as we welcome every other type of family to Beth El. People with faith backgrounds other than Jewish and those with no faith background pray with us, study with us, share in holiday celebrations and participate in lifecycle events. We welcome them as they are part of our community and they enrich our community. More than that, however, we encourage them to become full, active members of the congregational family including inviting spouses and partners of other faith backgrounds to serve on committees and on our synagogue board. As a Conservative synagogue, we live our egalitarian values by embracing the participation of all types of families and partnerships.
