Tikkun Leyl Shavuot

Tikkun Leyl Shavuot

As part of the observance of the Jewish Festival of Shavuot, there is a custom of engaging in all-night Torah study. For many years now, we have seen continued success and participation in our all-night Tikkun program.

The schedule for the evening usually begins later afternoon with weekday Minchah (afternoon services) and Sacred Chanting. The first study session at the synagogue begins thereafter. This is usually followed by scrumptious dairy delights (blintzes, cheesecake, ice cream, and more). After yet another study session in the synagogue, the community disperses into the neighborhood where the rest of the sessions are hosted in people’s homes—returning to the synagogue for a sunrise Shacharit service and light refreshments.
