My Background:
In 2005, I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and in 2008 earned a Master of Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in. My professional journey in speech-language pathology began in South Florida at a private practice where I gained experience across a wide range of settings, including hospitals, Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units, schools, long-term care facilities, and clinics. I have had the privilege of evaluating and treating individuals across the lifespan, from premature infants to geriatrics.
After moving to the Twin Cities in 2013, I began to focus on evaluating and treating speech, language, and feeding disorders in children from infants to18 years old. After the birth of my children, I established LB Speech, a small practice dedicated to serving children and families in my community. In 2020, I proudly opened my office in St. Louis Park. In 2018, my daughter was born with a genetic disorder and required a multidisciplinary team, including speech pathology. Experiencing this journey as a parent deepened my understanding of the importance of collaboration and compassionate care. It continues to inspire me to build supportive teams around every family I serve—because teamwork truly makes the dream work.
At LB Speech, my goal is to provide thoughtful, comprehensive care while honoring the unique needs of every child and family. Together, we can create meaningful and lasting change.

Shoshana Rubin – Specialist

Helping children has always been my passion. Watching them grow and be successful is the most rewarding job I can ask for.
Areas of Expertise: I have been working as an occupational therapist since 2013 in a variety of both school and clinical settings. I work with children aged 0-18 with motor and sensorimotor deficits. I work on improving their core strength, stability, trunk control and overall posture which will help them improve their fine motor strength and overall functioning in school and other daily activities.
Education: I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from St. Catherine’s University and Masters of Occupational Therapy degree at New York University.
Specialized Training: I have taken courses that specialize and focus on handwriting skills, visual motor integration, posture stability and reflex integration. I am trained in “Let’s Do it Write” handwriting program.
Most importantly, I want children to feel successful, capable, and proud of themselves. Whether we are working on handwriting, coordination, strength, sensory processing, emotional regulation, or another important skill, my goal is to help each child build the confidence, independence, and skills they need to thrive.
