Our Multiracial Jewish Community

February 13 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

We welcome Rafi Forbush as our guest Darshan during Shabbat morning services as he shares his experience growing up as a person of color in the Jewish community.

Rafi is working to bring awareness to the importance of uplifting and advocating for the multiracial Jewish community of Minnesota, including black, indigenous, Asian, Latinx, Sephardi, Mizrachi, and multiracial or interracial families who identify as Jewish.

Rafi is the founder and director of the new, local organization,  Multiracial Jewish Association of Minnesota. He is also the youth director of Beth Jacob.

Rafi recently spoke to the Beth El staff about advocating for Jews of color in our community and looks forward to speaking to the congregation as well.
