Daniel Bloom, father of Helene (J.R.) Tapper. Died from a battle with Cancer. Services were September 02, 2003 at Congregation Beth Israel in Berkeley, California with Rabbi Yair Silverman and Stuart Kelmen. Daniel was three (3) time past president of Congregation Beth Israel, founding member of the Midrasha for high school students, continuing education program, plus numerous other volunteer positions in the Jewish Community. Past board member of BACS, Bay Area Community Services, an organization to help those less fortunate.
