Obituary for Leonard Allen Sobol Leonard Allen Sobol 3-8-23 to 9-17-15 Preceded in death by parents, Boris Bernard and Pearl (nee Hecht); wife, Paula Ruth (nee Bomberg). Survived by sons, Brian (Mitz) and Morley (Cathy); grandchildren, Benjamin and Abby; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Leonard was a World War II vet, serving as a bombardier, flying multiple missions over Italy. He was a photographer and owned Tower Liquor Store in Minneapolis. In retirement, he loved cooking and baking and was famous for his banana bread. He also loved pricing groceries and shopping at Menards and Costco. He attended morning minyan daily at Beth El Synagogue. Funeral service FRIDAY, 2:00pm, BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5225 Barry St. W., St. Louis Park. Memorials preferred to Alzheimer’s Association.
