Rabbi Naima Hirsch Gelman is a writer, educator, and lifelong student. She currently teaches Talmud at the Leffell High School and coaches brides in the laws of niddah. Naima was ordained by Yeshivat Maharat and is currently studying at the William Davidson Graduate School of Jewish Education.
Her poetry and prose about abortion and Orthodox feminism has been published in Lilith, Lehrhaus, and Minyan Magazine, among others. Naima has previously served the Jewish community as the inaugural Rabbinic Fellow at the National Council for Jewish Women and the Programming Director at the Beis Community.
