High Holy Day Hub 5787 – Start Here!

September 17, 2020 | 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM

To our Beth El Family,

As the air begins to shift and the days grow shorter, we are reminded that the Yamim Noraim are approaching. The High Holy Days offer a much needed chance to join together as family and community to look back on the year gone by and to set our intention for the year to come.

What can you expect at Beth El?

As in years past, we will have a variety of offerings for all ages and interests. We will gather in-person, on-line, and in local parks for davening, learning, sacred chanting, and more. New this year: a healing service, a chance for reflection and renewal for the care givers among us, and an expanded food drive. Rather than a one day, Yom Kippur collection, we want to increase our giving to meet the increased need with a month-long, client-directed drive. Be on the lookout for more details.

Once again, this year, we are grateful that Cantor Emerita, Audrey Abrams, will lead us in the main sanctuary and in several off-the-bimah experiences.

You will also notice that again this year we are asking all those coming in person to pre-register and to wear the security bracelets we’ll provide. Everyone, member or non-member, is welcome. These extra measures will give us peace of mind that we might fully enjoy these days together.

You can find the full schedule of services and learning opportunities on our High Holy Day Hub or by calling the office for a printed copy. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

We wish you and your family a year of health, prosperity and peace.

L’Shana Tova,

Rabbi Alexander Davis, Rabbi Matt Goldberg, Rabbi Julie Schwarzwald, Cantor Emerita Audrey Abrams
