Communal Song, Communal Leadership: A Workshop for Prayer Leaders
Each member of the community has the opportunity to contribute to the process of hiddur mitzvah-beautification of the mitzvah of prayer. How do we unearth the potential textures of sound and its intersection with the text of the siddur, empowering all in the real-time act of prayer and song? We’ll explore strategies and tools for cultivating empowered song and prayer communities. This workshop is for those steeped in leading communal prayer – as a professional or layleader.
This program is free to attend, but registration will be requested.

In this text-based class, we’ll explore two key Biblical narratives centering the outpouring of song – punctuating our own learning with moments of melody and mindfulness.
