High Holy Day Hub 5786 – Start Here!

September 17, 2020 | 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM

To our Beth El Family,

As the air begins to shift and the days grow shorter, we are reminded that the Yamim Noraim (High Holy Days) are approaching. And boy, do we need them. We need this season of reflection, renewal, and return. We need this opportunity to gather as family and community to look back and to set our intention for the year ahead.

What can you expect at Beth El?

As in years past, we will have a variety of offerings for all ages and interests. We will gather in-person, on-line, and in local parks for davening, learning, sacred chanting, and of course giving to our annual food drive.

We are particularly excited to use our newly renovated Fiterman Chapel and Gruman Social Hall (which still needs a few finishing touches) for the first time. We appreciate all your support that has made these and other renovations possible and thank you for your patience during construction.

Once again, this year, we are grateful that Cantor Emerita, Audrey Abrams, will lead us in the main sanctuary and in several off-the-bimah experiences.

You will notice that this year we are adding additional security measures. Specifically, we are asking all those coming in-person to pre-register and to wear the security bracelets we’ll provide. Everyone, member or non-member, is welcome and there is no cost to attend. These extra measures will give us peace of mind that we might fully enjoy these days together. You will find the registration form HERE

You can find the full schedule of services and learning opportunities on our High Holy Day Hub or by calling the office for a printed copy. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

We wish you and your family a year of health, prosperity and peace.

L’Shana Tova,

Rabbi Alexander Davis, Rabbi Matt Goldberg, Rabbi Julie Schwarzwald, Cantor Emerita Audrey Abrams

HIGH HOLY DAY REGISTRATION

You will notice that this year we are adding additional security measures. Specifically, we are asking all those coming in-person to pre-register and to wear the security bracelets we’ll provide. Everyone, member or non-member, is welcome and there is no cost to attend. These extra measures will give us peace of mind that we might fully enjoy these days together. Our High Holy Day services remain open to everyone and there is no cost to attend. However, we are asking everyone to register in advance and pick up a branded High Holy Day bracelet that will help expedite our security lines upon arrival.

Once you register, bracelets will be available for pick up at your convenience at the Beth El Welcome Desk beginning Tuesday, August 26. If you are physically unable to pick up your bracelets, please call the Beth El Office at 952.873.7300 to make alternative arrangements.

We look forward to seeing you and celebrating the start to a healthy and peaceful 5786!

This year we celebrated 100 years of community at Beth El! Enjoy this throwback to the year we were singing at home, yet still singing together!
